Job info

Specialty: Med/Surg with Telemetry experience
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Patient Ratios: 1:6 to 1:7
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-call: Not required
Floating: Required to float within scope to like units with similar patient populations

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Guaranteed hours with allowance for 1 shift call-off every 2 weeks
Call-out policy: More than 2 call-outs without documented medical reason may lead to contract cancellation
Block schedule accommodation requests possible but not guaranteed
Local candidates considered

Completion of all assigned orientation modules prior to start (estimated 2 hours)
Attendance at staff meetings required
Must upload COVID vaccination records or complete vaccination declination form
Flu vaccine required during flu season or approved medical/religious exemption (no declinations accepted)
Physical exam within one year attesting ability to meet job demands
Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days of start or appropriate follow-up if positive
Drug screening: 10-panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
Proof of 2 clinical references required
Background check including 7 years of residence/work history and multiple registry searches
Verification of RN license through primary source (NURSYS)
Various signed facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, code of conduct, and safety acknowledgments
Passport-style photo for badge required

During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams; candidates should consider this before accepting assignments
Floating may be required to similar units to meet facility needs
Radiation badge not required for this position
