Job Description

• Acute, trauma, Emergency Department (ED), and Critical Care experience required.
• Must be able to work independently in a critical access hospital setting.
• Weekend work required at minimum every other weekend; additional weekends possible based on operational needs.
• Clinician may be required to float within scope to meet needs across four campus locations.
• Scheduling is fixed based on facility needs; personal schedule requests cannot be accommodated.
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not accepted; candidates must provide proof of address and directions from facility to legal address.
• Pending license applications are accepted.
• On-call duties are voluntary, not required.
• Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions: 7 days.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Oregon.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including experience within the last year.
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA provider, instructor, or RQI accepted.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA provider, instructor, or RQI accepted.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - AHA provider, instructor, or RQI accepted.
• Experience in an Acute Care setting required.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system required.

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check required within 90 days of start; updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 90 days of start.
• Education verification and diploma/transcript on file required.
• Primary source verification of state license required.
• Photo for badge must be submitted within 48 hours of signing and no later than two Wednesdays prior to start.
• Completion of facility-specific confidentiality, compliance, contractual, and emergency contact forms required within the same timeframe.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination accepted.
• Negative TB screening (QGold within 1 year) or chest X-ray for positive responders. Annual TB questionnaire required.
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B (titer required), and Varicella. Boosters or declinations accepted for low/equivocal titers.
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 90 days of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or agency declination/exemption required during flu season (deadline December 1). Masking required during high transmission periods.
• COVID vaccination preferred but not required; vaccination record or declination/exemption must be on file.
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually.

• First-time travel therapists are not accepted for this position.
• Prior travel experience is required.
