ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Jasper, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Unit Details

• Care for critically ill medical/surgical patients including sepsis, cardiac arrest, cardiovascular disease, respiratory failure, alcohol/drug overdose and withdrawal, post-op surgical care, gastrointestinal bleeding, end of life/comfort care, and COVID-19 complications.
• ICU split into two floors:

  • 2nd floor: higher acuity patients, staffed 1 nurse per 2 patients
  • 1st floor: lower acuity patients, staffed 2 nurses + 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT) per 6 patients (1:3 ratio)
• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Weekend schedule: every other weekend
• No on-call required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Orientation hours vary by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
• Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days
• Holiday work expectations:

  • If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, traveler expected to work it
  • If 2 major holidays fall, traveler expected to work both
  • If 3 major holidays fall, traveler expected to work 2 of them
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day
• Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; delays in compliance may result in assignment start being pushed back by 2 weeks due to orientation scheduling
• Locals accepted at same rate (note: pay details excluded)
• Candidate must review and sign facility Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance policies prior to start

This position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity ICU setting with a supportive staffing model and a structured orientation process. It is suitable for RNs with at least one year of ICU experience, including those new to travel nursing.
