Job Opportunity: RRT (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics) - Travel/Contract

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Requirements

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of recent Respiratory Therapist experience
• Experience working with adult patients
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma center
• Experience in a teaching hospital environment
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
• Criminal background check within 12 months prior to start, including SSN trace, 7-year county residence/work history, nationwide search, and sex offender search.
• State-specific background checks and registries as applicable for Missouri.
• Primary source license verification prior to start.
• Negative drug screen within 12 months prior to start.
• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good physical health.
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination) for new candidates only.
• TB testing (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if prior positive.
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season.
• COVID vaccination series preferred but not mandatory.
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit testing completed onsite during orientation).
• Fit test record must be submitted within two weeks of start date; failure to do so may result in removal from assignment.
• Candidates must be clean-shaven for fit testing at this facility.

Orientation & Training

• Completion of all required facility-specific modules prior to or during orientation, updated annually.
• Post-start orientation checklists must be completed and submitted within the first week.
• Additional online training for ICU/CCU or Cath Lab candidates if applicable (not required for this role).

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Prior travel experience is not required.
• Medication/pharmacology competency exams and other competency exams are not required by the facility but may be required by the staffing agency.
• References and skills checklists may be required by the staffing agency but are not a facility requirement.
