Job Opportunity: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Location: Walnut Creek, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Work Setting: In-person at Walnut Creek/San Ramon; remote work option in Brentwood
Floating: Must be able to float to other facilities within the system


Job Description

  • Provide social services in an outpatient pediatric clinic setting.
  • Experience in case management is required.
  • Must have pediatric experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker license in California.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Licensed Clinical Social Worker experience within the last year.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients.
  • Experience in a clinic and outpatient setting.
  • Case management experience.
  • Ability to float to other facilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish (second language preferred).

Required Certifications & Training

  • Current and valid Driver’s License or government photo ID matching professional license.
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history, nationwide and specialized searches, must be current within 30 days of start.
  • Education verification or copy of diploma/transcript.
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, including physician statement of fitness to work.
  • Drug testing: Standard 9-panel (excluding THC), within 30 days of start and every 2 years thereafter.
  • Annual TB questionnaire and two negative TB tests (PPD, QuantiFERON, or T-Spot) as per facility policy.
  • Immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (vaccines or valid titers required; declinations may have restrictions).
  • Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination required during flu season.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended but not required.
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start (specific mask types required).
  • Completion of facility-specific learning modules and compliance training prior to or during orientation.
  • Completion of emergency contact information and cybersecurity awareness training.
  • Two supervisory references required, preferably from the most recent employment.
  • Current and updated resume covering the last 7 years, with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
  • Unit-specific skills checklist updated annually.

Additional Requirements

  • Must complete facility-specific onboarding documents including confidentiality agreements and attestation forms.
  • Must comply with background checks and credential verifications within specified timeframes.
  • Must complete all required competency exams and pass with a minimum score of 80%.
  • Must be prepared for pass/fail medication and telemetry exams on the first day of orientation if applicable.
  • Must complete annual cybersecurity and HIPAA training with passing scores.
  • Must comply with facility policies on COVID-19 questionnaires and exemptions if applicable.
