Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Educator, Family Birthplace Unit

Job Description

Seeking an RN Educator specializing in the Family Birthplace Unit with a focus on educating operating room circulation for C-sections. This role requires very high proficiency in Labor & Delivery (L&D) or circulating and C-sections. Note that candidates who are solely "Straight L&D RNs" will not be considered.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 3+ years current RN Educator experience in the perinatal field (highest required years of experience)
• Experience educating circulating in the OR for C-sections
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Education & Certification

• BSN or higher degree required
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications must be in hand and uploaded with profile
• NRP certification required (implied by description)
• Massachusetts RN license must be in hand and uploaded (facility will not pend license)

Additional Requirements

• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Must provide:

  • Work history
  • Skills checklist relevant to the position (current within 1 year)
  • One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
  • License and certifications uploaded with profile
• Must include permanent address with profile upload
• Must have own vehicle for assignment
• Must provide at least two specific interview dates/times (no vague availability)
• Facility will not consider travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility
• COVID-19 vaccination required (dose date on or after 10/3/23) or approved exemption with mask-wearing on site

Orientation & Other Details

• 8 hours non-billable orientation
• Requested time off (RTO) during assignment must be noted and verified at profile upload; no more than 3 days allowed
• Facility will not pend upon offer; all requirements are non-negotiable

Summary

This is a specialized RN Educator role requiring strong perinatal and OR circulation experience specifically for C-sections, with a minimum of 3 years educator experience in the perinatal field. Candidates must hold a BSN or higher, current Massachusetts RN license, ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications, and be prepared to comply with strict profile and vaccination requirements. Prior travel experience is not required.
