Registered Nurse (RN) - Float (Nights)

Job Summary

This position involves providing integrated neurological/neurosurgical and trauma critical care using the nursing process and broad nursing knowledge. The role requires travel among multiple facilities within the region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs.
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care based on patient needs.
• Evaluate patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if care goals are met.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to plan and implement total patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience.
• Training and experience in MS/PCU/ICU/Telemetry units.
• Active Michigan RN license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Recent traveler experience is highly preferred.
• Work history and skills checklist relevant to specialty, current within 1 year.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.

Additional Information

• Casual employees must be available for at least 48 hours per month, including 24 weekend hours and 24 holiday hours annually.
• Scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application; requests after an offer may result in rescinded offers.
• Facility may consider local candidates within a 50-mile radius for contracts up to 13 weeks.
