Registered Nurse (RN) — Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Location: Bay City, Michigan
Shift: Days
Schedule: 12 hours per day
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
• PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Role Summary

• Monitor vital signs and level of consciousness as patients recover from anesthesia.
• Manage airway and respiratory function.
• Administer medications and fluids for post-operative symptom and pain control.
• Assess surgical sites, dressings, and physical condition for bleeding or complications.
• Recognize adverse reactions and initiate emergency interventions when needed.
• Document patient records and communicate with the care team.
