Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department

Location: Springfield, Vermont
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Job Summary

• Position in a 24/7 Emergency Department at a critical access hospital (25 beds)
• Emergency Department serves approximately 14,000 patient visits annually
• No block scheduling or 13-week assignments available
• No 48-hour guarantee for this assignment
• Local travelers (within 50 miles) are not eligible
• Traveler must have their own vehicle

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting (Required)
• 3 months minimum travel experience preferred (not required)

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Certifications (Must have current and in hand)

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• TNCC

Licensure

• Vermont RN license required
• Compact license allowed

Additional Requirements

• Permanent address must be included in profile
• All requested time off (RTO) must be noted and verified at submission; no more than 10 days of RTO allowed
• Scheduling requests must be made at time of submission; no scheduling changes after offer
• Work history and skills checklist (pertinent to position, current within 1 year) required
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
• License and certifications must be uploaded with profile (facility will not pend certifications)

• Offers 24-hour emergency care, general surgery, hospitalist program, inpatient and outpatient services
• Specialty clinics include cardiology, oncology, ENT, orthopaedics, cosmetic surgery, urology, psychiatry, and more
• Collaborative specialty services with regional medical centers

• No call, call-back, or charge responsibilities for this need
• No overtime rate; OT paid at regular hourly rate
• Non-billable orientation: 0 hours
• Holiday pay: 1.25%
