Registered Nurse (RN) - Interventional Radiology Lab

Location: Glens Falls, New York

Job Description

• Work in the Interventional Radiology Lab providing care to acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations.
• Care primarily provided within the Cardiovascular Lab.
• Staff available 24/7 for emergency procedures during off hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including specialized physicians, registered clinical nurses, and radiology technologists.

Procedures and Patient Care Involves:

• Angiogram of Multiple Systems
• Peripheral Revascularization
• Placement and Maintenance of Hemodialysis Catheters
• Nephrostomy Drainage Tubes
• Placement and Maintenance of Gastrostomy and Jejunostomy Tubes
• Central Line and Port Placement and Maintenance
• Pain Management Interventions
• Paracentesis/Thoracentesis
• Pre- and Post-Care for Renal, Liver, and Lung Biopsies
• Carotid Stenting

Patient Population:

• Adolescent through Geriatric

Systems and Dress Code:

• EMR Systems: Cerner and McKesson
• Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs

Requirements

Experience:

• Previous Interventional Radiology (IR) experience - Required
• Experience with Adolescent to Geriatric patients - Required
• Experience with procedural sedation, circulation, and recovery phase - Required
• Float to Cardiac Cath Lab - Required
• Previous travel experience - Highly preferred (not mandatory)

Licenses and Certifications:

• Current New York RN License - Required
• ACLS Certification - Required
• BLS Certification - Required

Documentation and Compliance:

• Work history and skills checklist current to within 1 year must be provided.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required.
• Permanent address must be included in profile and must match Driver License/State ID.
• COVID vaccinations mandatory with proof uploaded.

• Candidates with permanent addresses in the following New York counties are not eligible for this assignment:
  Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington

Summary

This is a temporary RN position in an Interventional Radiology Lab requiring strong IR experience, procedural sedation skills, and the ability to float to the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role involves working with a diverse patient population and requires current New York licensure and certifications. Prior travel experience is highly preferred but not mandatory. COVID vaccination is required.
