Travel RN Respiratory Med-Surg

Overview

Role: Travel RN Respiratory Med-Surg
Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Employment type: Contract
Unit: 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit
Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Hours per week: 36
Schedule: Every other weekend required
Start date: November 16th, unless you are a returning traveler within 9 months

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Med Surg / Telemetry (3 years of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Work Environment

Fast-paced, high-acuity unit specializing in pulmonary disease care
Manages adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients with continuous telemetry monitoring
Requires comfort with rapid patient turnover and varying levels of care needs
No on-call requirement

Float Scope

May float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units, including:
- Wound Care
- Stroke
- Oncology
- Cardiac
- Observation
- ED boarders

Additional Notes

Competency test for telemetry strip interpretation is required on Day 1
Failure of telemetry competency or lack of Epic proficiency is grounds for immediate termination
