Registered Nurse (RN) – CCU

Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour shifts, varied shifts with every 3rd weekend
Unit Details:

• 16 beds in the CCU
• Nurse to patient ratio: 3 to 5
• Floating required to Telemetry and possibly Emergency Department

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 3 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac experience
• Telemetry experience
• ACLS (AHA) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS (AHA) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system

Job Responsibilities

• Care for approximately 50% cardiac patients
• Respond to code blue calls
• Manage arterial lines, ventilators, BiPAPs, and cardiac monitoring
• Remove ventilators as needed
• Willingness to float to other critical care units including Telemetry and ER

Equipment Used

• EPIC electronic medical records system
• Pyxis medication dispensing system

Additional Information

• Dress code: Navy scrubs
• Orientation/training: 12 to 24 hours per unit, adjusted as needed
• Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility may have adjusted pay rates (not included here)
• Previous employment with the facility requires a minimum 6-month gap before reapplying
