Required Qualifications

Active California RN license
BLS certification
2–3 years of Med Surg experience
Prior travel experience required

Assignment Details

Med Surg unit with medical and post-op/surgical patients
30 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
First to float
May float to telemetry at a 1:4 ratio or between Med Surg floors
1 shift of unit orientation
Must be able to read and interpret dysrhythmias
COVID vaccine required

Work Environment

Charge nurse provides clinical supervision and break relief; does not take a patient assignment
Nurse aides: 2 on days, 1 on nights
Weekend requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
Holidays rotate with permanent staff
Scrub color: Navy
No vents
No IV team
Hospitalist available 24/7
Respiratory therapy available 24/7
Pharmacy available 24/7

Great hospital. Kind and friendly staff.

Cons

The cafeteria is a hit and miss. Some days they have great sea food with saffron rice! Some days microwaved food :D. But there is alwaaaaays, pizza available ;)
