Job Opportunity: OR Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: South Charleston, West Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced OR RN to work in a busy surgical unit with 12 operating suites and an average of 30 cases per day. The role involves scrubbing surgical cases, call responsibilities, and potential floating between hospital locations.

Unit & Work Environment

• Unit: Operating Room (OR)
• Number of Suites: 12
• Average Cases per Day: 30
• Common Cases: General surgery, Orthopedic, Gynecology, Urology, Ophthalmology, Vascular, Plastic Surgery
• EMR System: Meditech
• Work Shifts: 8 or 10 hours based on unit needs, start times at 0615 or 0645
• Call Shifts: Required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; 8-hour rotating shifts with a 30-minute response time
• Floating: May be required to float to Endoscopy or between two hospital locations
• Orientation: 2-4 shifts unit-specific orientation

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing
• BLS Certification required
• Must be able to scrub surgical cases and circulate orthopedic procedures
• Call participation required with a 30-minute response time
• Ability to work collaboratively on call scheduling (no self-scheduling)
• Must be able to float as needed
• Experience working with OR Techs (ORTs)
• Charge Nurse responsibilities present on each shift
