Job Opportunity: MS/Tele Float Pool Nurse – Denver/Zone 3 (Colorado)
Location
- City: Centennial, CO
- Zone: Zone 3 (60-mile radius around Denver, CO)
- Must be able to float within multiple facilities in the zone
Contract Length
- 13 weeks

- MS-Tele Float Pool
- Float across multiple units including:
- General MS-Tele
- Cardiac
- Neuro
- Oncology
- Rehab
- Renal
- Bariatrics
- Orthopedics
- Trauma
- Emergency Department Observation
Patient Population
- Adults to Geriatrics
- Common diagnoses: Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, Renal, Urology post-surgical, General Surgery post-appendectomy, Gynecology, Psych/Detox, ENT, General Medicine, stable long-term placement patients, and more
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio
- 1:5-6 depending on acuity
Required Certifications
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NIHSS
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience (higher requirement if discrepancy)
- Prior neuro experience preferred (not mandatory)
Skills & Responsibilities
- Ability to titrate Heparin drips
- Expected to float across various acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
- Must be flexible to fill gaps in permanent scheduling
- Charge nurse present on each unit; usually does not take patient assignments unless necessary
- Work with nurse aides and respiratory therapy equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP)
Scheduling & Shifts
- Shift: 7am – 7pm
- Schedule created by leadership for 6 weeks at a time
- 6-9 weekend shifts required in each 6-week schedule
- May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
- Rare call or standby requirements (only for low census)
- All time off requests must be submitted prior to assignment start
Orientation
- 1-2 days unit/department specific orientation with a preceptor
- Week of orientation must be completed in-state (some modules may be remote)
Additional Information
- No home base facility; must be able to float throughout the entire 60-mile zone
- Responsible for securing housing that allows floating within the zone
- Scrub color/dress code: Any color allowed
- Float assignments communicated before or on start date
