Job Opportunity: RN - OR (Operating Room)

Location: Chamberlain, South Dakota

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse - Operating Room (RN-OR)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8 hours (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• Call Requirements:

  • One to two weekends per month
  • Two nights per week in addition to weekends

Experience & Certification Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of Circulator experience required
• South Dakota or compact nursing license required
• Certifications:

  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Must be comfortable recovering patients when called in (PACU/Recovery training provided)

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as the only RN circulator when called in, responsible for patient recovery
• Work in 1 OR and 1 procedure room
• Procedures include:

  • General surgery and scopes
  • Appendectomies
  • Hernia repairs
  • EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
  • Colonoscopy
  • C-sections
  • D&C (Dilation and Curettage)
  • Ectopic pregnancy surgeries
  • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy

Additional Information

• Scrubs provided (Ceil Blue)
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• Local placements within 80 miles
