Job Description

• Work in Radiology - MRI department with 1-2 MRI scanners per location.
• Perform MSK, Neuro, and Body MRI scans for both inpatients and outpatients in clinic and hospital settings.
• Duties include IV starting and creatinine draws.
• Average of about 10 scans/studies per day.
• Use Meditech and Synapse EMR/PACS systems.
• Equipment experience required on Philips or Siemens MRI machines; training available for other manufacturers.
• Single modality role; no CT or X-Ray duties expected.
• May be asked to float between two nearby campuses (16 minutes apart).
• May be asked to precept as needed.
• Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination.
• Rotational on-call schedule: one week per month, with weekday call from 5 pm to 6 am and 24-hour coverage on weekends.
• Weekend and holiday on-call required.

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA) certification.
• Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR).
• Licensed Medical Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Experience with 1.5T MRI equipment and devices.
• Experience required on Philips or Siemens MRI equipment.
• Candidates must not have been employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any related facility within the past year, except PRN employment through outside firms is acceptable.

Additional Information

• Non-supervisory MRI Technologist position.
• Radiologist available in-house at hospital locations.
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used.

Scheduling

• Monday through Friday with rotational on-call duties.
• Start time 7:30 am on call days.
