Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse provides care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. Responsibilities include:

• Utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies
• Demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership for safe delivery of care
• Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education
• Delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience
• Providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications

Additional Information

• This position is to provide coverage while recruiting for permanent staff
• Night shift hours: 7 PM to 7 AM
