Job Description

• Work in a 36-bed Renal Unit caring for patients with kidney-related conditions, including acute and chronic kidney disease.
• Patient care includes post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6.
• Collaborate closely with community nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists.
• Support patients throughout their treatment journey, from diagnosis to ongoing care.
• Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.
• Work schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week, including every other weekend and holidays as required.

Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross certification.
• Licenses: Registered Nurse license for the State of Alabama or Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted).
• Experience: Minimum 2 years nursing experience preferred; will consider 18 months if under highest professional license level, with at least 1 year in renal specialty.
• Must be patient-facing and work onsite (not remote).

Additional Information

• Clinical setting using Meditech EMR.
• Dress code: Solid navy scrubs.
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week.
• Parking available.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months).
