Shift: Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), 3x12-hour shifts, alternating weekends

• Floating to different lab areas
• No call required
• No 48-hour shifts
• No block scheduling

Job Description

• Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosis and monitoring of diseases.
• Follow standardized procedures and prepare samples for testing.
• Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
• Work involves limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Typically reports to a manager or supervisor.
• Use of Cerner EMR system.
• Scrub color: Gray

Required Qualifications

• Valid Medical Technologist license in Tennessee.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist within the last year.
• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or equivalent through recognized accrediting agencies such as ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HHS.
• Alternatively, a high school graduate or equivalent who completed a U.S. military medical laboratory procedures training course of at least 50 weeks duration and held the occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician) on or before April 24, 1995.
• Experience as a Laboratory Technician.

Contract Length

• Approximately 13 weeks
