Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Call Requirements: Minimum 15 call days during the contract
Floating: Required, typically as sitters
Holidays: Required

Job Description

Circulate cases in the cardiac catheterization lab
Responsible for moderate sedation and medication preparation/administration
Circulate and monitor during procedures including LHC, RHC, TEE’s, cardioversions, peripherals, and other cardiac procedures
Clean and stock the lab
Patient ratio is 1:1
Use of EMR systems including Xper, MedHost, PACS

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification
Experience circulating and monitoring in Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
Experience circulating and monitoring in Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
Experience circulating and monitoring Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
Experience circulating and monitoring cardioversions
Experience circulating and monitoring peripheral procedures

Additional Information

No 48-hour call hours approved
Blocked schedules are not approved
No holidays will be considered for return to office (RTO)
Scrub color is flexible
