Surg Tech 2

Overview

Surgical technology role supporting direct and indirect care and service in surgery.
Works on simple to complex procedures across a variety of specialties.
Day shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm, with rotating call.
Contract length: 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

Prepares for surgeon-specific operative/invasive procedures.
Scrubs on procedures.
Plans for expected and unexpected intra-op events.
Serves as a resource to other technologists.
Trains new technologists and students.
May function as an informal lead technologist.
Uses additional education gained through certification to assist peers and improve performance.

Required Qualifications

Surgical Technologist experience within the last year.
1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
BLS issued by American Heart Association.
Associate's degree in Surgical Technology or certificate of completion of a Surgical Technology program.
