Location: Stockton, California
Employment Type: Clinical-Allied
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 40 hours
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Assist Occupational Therapist in providing restorative and rehabilitative Occupational Therapy services to maximize participant independence and safety, focusing on activities of daily living (ADLs). Work collaboratively with the rehabilitation team to implement care plans both at the center and in participants' homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer treatment programs as established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate and implement activities based on individual treatment plans.
• Schedule participant treatments, clinical visits, and manage billing.
• Deliver and document Occupational Therapy interventions to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance, endurance, and independence in ADLs.
• Provide training and instructions to staff, participants, and caregivers on therapeutic equipment use and care.
• Track and manage maintenance of therapy equipment.
• Monitor participant condition and promptly report changes to the Occupational Therapist.
• Participate in end-of-life care coordination under supervision.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect participant and team information.
• Follow policies, participate in quality improvement, trainings, and meetings.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors and team regarding workload and priorities.
• Complete mandated trainings and occupational health screenings.
• Adapt flexibly to evolving business needs.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant license in California
• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or an Occupational Therapy Assistant Degree earned outside the US that has been evaluated to be US equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapist Assistant experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with geriatric patients
• Experience in a clinic setting
