Echo Technician - Contract
Location
- Brooklyn, New York
Job Summary
- Perform and interpret m-mode, 2-D, pulse and continuous Doppler, color Doppler, contrast, and stress echocardiograms.
- Complete echo worksheets and perform necessary calculations in a timely manner.
- Care for adult and geriatric patients, considering their physiological and anatomical needs.
- Assist Cardiologists during procedures.
- Chart all exams in patient medical records.
- Clean and maintain ultrasound equipment and keep the exam room well stocked.
- Assist with on-the-job training and evaluation of students and fellows.
- Maintain professional ethics and conduct.
- Participate in mandatory continuing education to maintain current registry status and enhance professional growth.
Schedule
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Hours per week: 40
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Current Registry status required.
- Echocardiography Certificate required.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
