Job Opportunity: CT Technologist (Contract)
Location: New York, NY
Employment Type: Contract
Job Description
- Perform CT procedures using appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images.
- Conduct daily quality control calibration checks on all CT equipment before patient studies.
- Administer radioactive materials to patients as per physician orders and protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation including logs, manuals, charge documents, and report equipment issues.
- Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests following radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle).
- Manage patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation.
- Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses one day prior to use and verify receipt and activity levels on delivery day.
- Assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after procedures.
Contract Length
- 9 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in New York
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program
