Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Job Details

• Shift Times: 7pm - 7am (12-hour night shift)
• Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: As needed within skillset
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:1 to 1:2
• Number of Beds: 14 beds, 2 triage rooms, 2 ORs
• Charting System: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Navy blue
• Areas of Float Support: Mom/Baby Couplets
• Special Procedures: Version, NST (Non-Stress Test), Amnioreduction
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Labor

Required Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Additional Requirements

• Flu and COVID-19 vaccines required (medical or religious exemptions accepted)

Notes

• Interview process includes a VA Auto Offer with a 48-hour acceptance window.
• No call requirement.
• Float support available in related maternal/baby care areas.

This position is suitable for experienced L&D nurses comfortable with labor care and related procedures in a hospital setting.
