Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Tech)

Overview

• Travel assignment in La Crosse, Wisconsin
• 13-week contract
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour night shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
• Primary location: Founders Building
• 8-bed unit with a 2:1 patient-to-tech ratio

Required Qualifications

• RPSGT certification
• AHA BLS
• 1+ year of polysomnographic tech / sleep tech experience
• Previous travel experience
• Graduate of an electroneurodiagnostic accredited program

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric experience
• Epic experience

Unit and Work Details

• Float requirements: None
• On-call / call-back requirements: None
• Weekend requirements: None
• Holiday requirements: None
• Primary cases include PSG, split studies, PAP/Oxygen titrations, full head EEG, extra limb leads, and EtCo2/TcCo2
• Desired work includes sleep studies on ages 12 months and up, use of Natus software, scoring during the study, equipment preparation and calibration, room cleaning, patient monitoring, working with trainees, effective communication, and independent work

• Team interview with the manager
• 8-hour unbillable orientation
• Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed
• Candidate must start the medical portion of compliance within 48 hours of accepted offer, or within 24 hours for a quick start
