Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

Role Overview

Travel Registered Nurse assignment in Medical-Surgical, based in Appleton, Wisconsin. The role is part of the Clinical Resource Team (CRT) and is expected to fill staffing needs as assigned.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• Shift start time: 5:30 PM
• Guaranteed hours per week: 36
• Weekend rotation: up to every other weekend
• Holiday rotation as needed

Floating / Assignment Scope

• Floats throughout all Med/Surg units at Appleton and Neenah
• May float to all facilities as needed
• Primary locations: Appleton and Neenah
• Assignment may include:

  • 5th floor cardiac pre/post, heart cath, and pacemakers
  • Neuro stroke, post TNK, and neuro surgery
• Traveler will only take patients within their skillset

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Ortho Trauma experience
• Stroke experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• AHA ACLS
• 1 travel contract
• Experience with pre-post cath, post pacemaker, and TR Bands
• Pediatric patients experience
