Location: Evansville, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (48 hours accepted upon request)
Overtime: Begins after 52 hours on 48-hour contracts
Unit: 41 beds, teaching hospital
Patient Population: Post-surgical patients including Whipples, vascular, pre/post heart caths, bariatric, ENT, podiatry, open bellies, dementia, AMS, CIWA/detox, thyroid surgeries, fall risks
Float Requirement: First to float within skillset; may float to nearby campuses (8-11 miles away) with 2-hour notice; mid-shift float within same campus possible
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends every six weeks; every other holiday
On Call/Call Back: Not required
Charting System: Recent EPIC experience required (checkoff class required)
Scrub Color: Navy blue; no competing health system or agency logos allowed

Valid RN license in Indiana
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
At least 1 prior travel assignment completed
Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
NIHSS certification
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

No local candidates within 40-mile radius considered
May be required to precept students and new hires
Unit culture includes teamwork, supportive charge nurses, experienced patient care techs, and celebrations (birthdays, national days)
COVID-19 vaccine not currently required (subject to change)
Guaranteed hours may vary during orientation and holidays when unit is closed
