Job Description

• Position is on an Adaptive Acuity Unit; travelers may be asked to provide PCU care (3:1 ratio) on occasion, which is non-negotiable.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
• 25-bed critical access hospital.
• Holiday RTO (Request Time Off) will not be considered; all available time has been reserved.
• Overtime will be paid at the regular rate (no multiplier).
• Call, call-back, and charge pay do not apply for this need.

Experience & Skills Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of current med-surg/telemetry experience required.
• Charge nurse experience is required. Candidates must be willing and able to work charge shifts.
• PCU experience is strongly required.
• Drip experience is required.
• ICU experience is strongly preferred.
• Traveler must be willing to float to any inpatient unit within their scope of practice.
• Minimum 3 months previous travel nursing experience required (non-negotiable).
• Experience in small critical access facilities is preferred.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle.

Certifications & Licensing

• ACLS (AHA) required
• BLS (AHA) required
• Must hold a current Vermont nursing license
