Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation - Travel/Contract

Location: Los Angeles, California
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / Post-Acute Care
Employment Type: Travel/Contract

Assignment Details

• Start Date: ASAP (flexible for later starts)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months) preferred, with possible extension up to 26 weeks
• Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts (Sunday - Thursday)
• Additional: May include occasional weekend coverage and floating

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute care
• New graduates will be considered

Certifications & Compliance

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • State License (primary source online verification)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (current and clear copy required)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
  • National Tech Certification as applicable (note some states require state licenses for techs)

• Competency Exams:

  • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
  • General Competency Exam (as applicable)

Health & Background Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific protocols for past positives)
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, vaccines, or history of chickenpox)
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or Declination (required during flu season: Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Fully vaccinated per California state policy (no declinations accepted)
• COVID-19 Booster: Required for all eligible travelers per California state policy

Documentation & Other Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form (required prior to start)
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year search of locations lived/worked/schooled
  • Sex offender registry check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM (annual)
  • HHS/OIG (annual)
• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, or per diem acute care
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care
  • Not required for non-clinical roles
