Job Details
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), unit assignment based on facility need after clinical evaluation
- Shift: 3x12 hour nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
- Optional: 4x12 hour shifts available by request
- Patient Ratio: Currently 1:5 (goal is 1:4)
- Floating: All travelers expected to float as needed within their acuity level
- Start Date: Flexible
Required Experience & Skills
- Specialty: Registered Nurse with experience in PCU

- Valid Driver’s License or State ID with address within 100 miles of facility required within 48 hours of signing
- Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
- Photo for badge required (professional, plain background)
- Completion of orientation materials prior to start (orientation manual not required for inpatient RNs)
- Two clinical references required (hospital evaluations accepted)
- Skills checklist updated annually
- Employment application/resume required
Notes
- Virginia State Police Search will be completed onsite on the first day of orientation for applicable candidates
- Floating and flexibility in unit assignment expected
- Traveler may request contract length between 14 and 26 weeks if longer than standard 13 weeks is desired
