Patient Diagnoses and Unit Details
- Management and treatment of complex wounds including wound vacs and ostomy care
- Special procedures include wound vacs and conservative debridement
Compliance and Background Requirements
- Criminal background checks within 90 days for all locations lived in the last 7 years
- Education verification for highest degree earned specific to nursing profession
- Drug testing within 30 days of start (10-panel, negative result required)
- Fit mask testing (N95 or PAPR training) within 1 year of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (or within 30 days if past positive TB)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray as applicable
- Required immunizations or titers: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (or facility-specific declination)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- Color Blind Testing within 1 year prior to start
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required for certain RN specialties (must pass with 82% or higher)
Facility Specific Requirements
- Completion of Non-Novant Health Worker Orientation modules (up to 8 hours)
- Completion of Medication Safety module with certificate of completion
- Various facility-specific documents and agreements must be signed prior to start (e.g., confidentiality agreement, tobacco-free campus acknowledgement, hospital policies)
- Photo for badge required (passport style, white background, business attire)
- Corporate ID setup and I-Learn account login required prior to start
- Radiation badge required for certain specialties (not applicable here)
- MOAB (Crisis Prevention Institute) training required if working in ER or Behavioral Health (not specified as required here)
- References: 2 professional references within 3 years for travel acute care nurses
