Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist (OT) - Home Health

Location: Concord, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Specialty: Home Health Occupational Therapy
Average Patients per Day: 5-7
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Types of Cases: Geriatric
Territory: Up to a 60-mile radius from the hub/office (flexibility required)
On-call Requirement: Yes, every 3rd to 4th weekend
Dress Code: Scrubs (any color), no jeans
Equipment Provided: iPad
Cell Phone: Not allowed for work use
Mileage Reimbursed at IRS standard rate
Locals accepted at travel rate
First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year recent experience as an Occupational Therapist in Home Health
Valid Occupational Therapy license in hand for California
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
EMR experience with HCHB required
OASIS experience preferred
Must be flexible with travel territory

Additional Requirements

Must be on-call every 3rd to 4th weekend
Physical exam within 1 year of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
Required immunizations or titers: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
Drug screening (9 panel) within 1 year
Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Background checks including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender, and annual federal exclusions
Professional references required (2 for travel/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care)
Annual competency exams and skills checklist as applicable
