Job Opportunity: Registered Dietitian (RD) - Pediatric Dietary Services

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Job Details

• Must be a licensed Registered Dietitian (RD) able to practice in Georgia.
• Pediatric experience required, specifically with:

  • Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
  • Enteral Nutrition (EN)
  • Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)
• Locals only, weekends included.
• 8-hour shifts with flexible start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
• 30-minute lunch break.

Required Credentials & Documentation

• Proof of I-9 and E-Verify or attestation.
• Government-issued photo ID carried during work hours.
• Social Security Card.
• Background check within 30 days of start (or within a year if continuously employed with the agency), including:

  • SSN trace
  • Statewide, county, nationwide, sex offender checks
  • 7-year criminal history check updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals.
• Education verification or diploma/transcript as applicable.

Certifications & Licenses

• Must hold a valid Georgia state license or multi-state compact license for RDs.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only) required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA only) required for RNs and related clinical staff; verify if applicable.
• National certifications relevant to dietary services or pediatric nutrition preferred but not explicitly required.
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission training acknowledgment required.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required by facility but required by agency).
• N95 Fit Mask test within 12 months of start (3M N95, specific models required). Onsite testing possible but discouraged.
• Mandatory Tdap vaccination (no declinations accepted without approved exemption).
• Negative TB test (Qgold/Tspot within 3 months) or chest X-ray if positive TB history.
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer or declination)
• 10-panel drug test including nicotine/cotinine within 60 days of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination required for the current season; no exemptions accepted.

Competencies & References

• Pediatric pharmacology competency exam required for nursing staff (verify if applicable).
• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Completed employment application/resume.
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units.

Additional Notes

• Facility-specific confidentiality and security agreement must be signed prior to start.
• Facility will provide specific orientation and safety manuals.
• Background checks and credential verifications are strictly enforced.
