Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Coupeville, Washington

Job Details

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience
• Ability to float within scope as needed

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background Checks

• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM exclusion screening within 90 days
• HHS/OIG exclusion screening within 90 days
• State-specific Washington WSP/WATCH search within 90 days (mandated by state law)

Education & Licensure

• Highest level of education verification required (or official transcripts/diploma if verification delays clearance)
• Primary source verification of nursing license (NURSYS verification required)
• State license verification (primary source online)

Health & Immunization

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (except Oncology Clinic RNs)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declinations accepted)
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 12 months; chest X-ray if history of positive TB
• TB questionnaire annually
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) titer or completed series, or declination form if refusing vaccine
• Hepatitis B titer required; vaccine or declination acceptable if negative
• Varicella titer or completed series
• 9-panel drug screen within 1 year including marijuana
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination form (mask required if declined)
• COVID vaccination series or declination

• Clear, passport-style photo for badge
• Professional references (2 within last 3 years)
• Annual skills checklist
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Competency exam required

• Driver’s license or government-issued photo ID required
• Must review and sign unit-specific job description prior to start
• Sanction disclosure and monthly sanctions search conducted
• Auto insurance copy required only for Hospice RNs (not applicable here)
