Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Job Description

• Work in a High-Tech Hybrid Cardiac Operating Room with six new rooms equipped with the latest technology and a new post-anesthesia care unit.
• Must provide interview availability in EST for the next two business days.

Requirements

• Education: BSN required
• Licenses: New York State RN license required
• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA) required for all RN positions
  • ACLS may be required for ER RN positions (confirm with cost center)
• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year OR experience with hearts (Operating Room experience)
• References: 2 clinical references required, must be supervisor level or above (Charge RNs acceptable)
• Employment History: Must include 7 years of employment with any gaps explained; at least 1 year experience in specialty or comparable/higher acuity required

Prior Travel Experience

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Driver’s license or state ID with clear picture and address
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year background check (SS Trace, County search, National Sex Offender, National Criminal, FACIS Level 3, OFAC, OMIG, OIG, SAM)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days prior to start
• Education verification (diploma or transcript acceptable)
• State license verification within 30 days of start (no license hits accepted)
• Facility-specific forms including physical exam form completed by a physician within 30 days of start
• Physical exam must be completed on facility-specific form with clinician’s signature and degree
• Fit test for N95 mask (Halyard Fluidshield or 3M 1860) within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Immunizations/vaccinations:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (antibody and antigen results required)
  • Varicella
• Drug testing: Standard 9-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start (no rapid tests)
• Seasonal flu vaccination required October 1 - April 30 (declinations allowed for religious or medical reasons)
• COVID vaccination preferred (initial series)

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (minimum score 80%)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (minimum score 80%) may be required depending on unit
