Job Summary: Therapy/Rehabilitation Travel Contract in Nashua, New Hampshire
Position Details
- Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Inpatient Occupational Therapy)
- Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Unit Systems: Epic (Medication, Documentation, Communication)
- Orientation: Oriented to clinic by manager
- Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted (no prior travel experience required)
- Former Employees: Travelers who have previously worked for any facility associated with this health system are not eligible regardless of separation time
Experience Requirements
- Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years of inpatient Occupational Therapy experience required
Required Certifications and Licenses
- New Hampshire State License (copy required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA provider only (instructor and RQI cards accepted if AHA provider)
- Other certifications may be required or preferred depending on unit (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIH Stroke Certification, Management of Assaultive Behavior)
- Facility requires verification of professional licensure and copies of licenses for states that are not paperless

Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background check required within 30 days of start, including:
- Social Security Verification
- National Sex Offender Registry Search
- National Criminal Search
- FACIS L3
- Education Verification
- Criminal county/state searches (excluding NH counties; NH State Police Search required instead)
- BEAS State Registry Results (NH placements only)
- Motor Vehicle Background Check (if driving to patient homes)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks must be run within 30 days prior to start
- Education verification required (High school acceptable for CNAs)
- Transcript/Diploma accepted if education verification pending
- Drug screen: 10-panel within 14 days prior to start (with a 7-day grace period)
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- Fit mask test annually (not required for PT Outpatient candidates)
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required for all clinical travelers
- Two current professional references within last 3 years (one must be from a supervisor)
- Employment application and skills checklist required
Immunization and Health Requirements
- Flu vaccination required annually (October 31 – April 1), with medical or religious exemptions allowed via facility-specific waiver forms
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within last 10 years (titers not accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD, Qgold, or Tspot)
- TB Questionnaire required for all travelers
- Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (declinations accepted with waiver)
- Varicella (history of disease NOT accepted)
- Drug testing as described above
Testing and Competency Exams
- Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 48 hours of contract signing for certain units
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required (for internal purposes)
- Pass/Fail testing for EKG/Medication may be required depending on unit
Additional Notes
- Facility requires documentation of OSHA education (Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement)
- Facility-specific forms for flu exemptions, Hep B declination, and other immunization waivers must be completed if applicable
- Proof of auto insurance required if providing Home Health or Hospice Care services
- Candidates must comply with all facility-specific background, health, and competency requirements prior to start
