Job Summary: EP Tech (Electrophysiology Technician) - Travel/Contract
Location: Safety Harbor, Florida
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10s, 07:00 - 17:30

Trauma Level: Level II Adult Trauma, Level I Pediatric Trauma

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty required (Radiology / Cardiology, EP Tech)
- First-time travelers not accepted
- Prior travel experience not explicitly required
Work Schedule & Requirements
- Weekend work as needed
- On-call required as needed
- No floating within or to sister facilities
- Locals not accepted
- Pending state license not accepted
- No Return to Origin (RTO) restrictions in contract
Certifications & Skills Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or RQI accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or RQI accepted
- CCI RCES (Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
- Strong experience with:
- Cath Lab, EP Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
- Cardiac cath procedures and EP studies
- Preferred vascular studies experience
- PHILIPS equipment experience required
- CERNER experience highly preferred

- Scrub color: red top, black pants

Required Documents & Compliance
- Driver’s License (must remain active during assignment)
- Background Check (within 1 year, including SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, education verification)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG checks required
- Foreign Equivalency Education Evaluation (if applicable)
- Transcript/Diploma (required if education outside US or Puerto Rico)
- Fingerprinting: Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting recommended)
- Education Verification (highest level of education)
- State License Primary Source Verification
- NURSYS Verification (for RN/LVN)
- Physical Exam (within 6 months of start)
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray (within 10 weeks of start)
- TB Questionnaire (annual for Aya candidates)
- Immunizations: Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (titer or vaccines with boosters as needed)
- Drug Testing: Standard 9 Panel within 30 days (instant tests not accepted)
- Flu Seasonal Vaccination or Declination (deadline prior to start)
- COVID Vaccination or approved exemption required
- Respirator Safety Clearance (if respirator use required)
- References: 2 references from past 2 years required
- Employment Application and Skills Checklist required
Competency Exams & Additional Training
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (score 80%+) as applicable
- Color Blind Testing (Relias exam required prior to start)
- Competency Exam (score 80%+ as applicable)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (time sensitive, 100% lethal arrhythmia score required)
- Stroke Education CEUs (8 total required across CEUs, NIH Stroke Certification, and mRS Certification)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) required for Behavioral Health and Psych ER (not required for this role)
Facility Specific Requirements
- Photo for badge (professional, clear, no filters) required prior to start
- Dress Code & Tobacco Policy acknowledgment required
- BayCare Online Learning Center (OLC) modules must be completed prior to start (4-8 hours, deadline Thursday before start)
- Fit Mask Acknowledgement required

- Guaranteed hours apply after the first call off per pay period
