Nights, 3x12s: 19:00–07:30
Weekend coverage required; every other weekend, may vary based on need
Floating is required

Role Overview

Medsurg floor assignment
30-bed non-cardiac monitor unit
Unit specializes in Vascular and Urology patients
May receive overflow from General Surgery, Women’s Specialty, and Medicine
May receive patients from PACU, ICU transfers, and the ED
Typical patient length of stay is 1–2 days
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 on day and night shift
Travelers will have 5–6 med-surgical patients, non-monitor
Must perform dressing changes and care for patients with wound vacs and drains

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in South Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Med Surg / Telemetry experience with 1 year of experience
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Experience with Epic
Experience with wound vacs and drains
Urology experience
Vascular Surgery experience

Floating

Must float to other units and/or campuses as needed, if qualified and competencies have been demonstrated and documented
