Overview
- Travel/Contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio.
- 13-week assignment.
- 36 hours per week.
- Night (3x12) or Day (3x12) schedule.
- Rotating schedule occurs every 4 weeks.
- Float required within OSU.
- Every other weekend required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio.
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience).
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
- Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips.
- Emergency Contact Form.
- 7-Year Criminal Background Check within 90 days of start.
- Ohio BCI/FBI fingerprinting using code 3701.881 within 1 year of start.
- Education accreditation confirmation for nursing program.
- State License 1 verification within 30 days of start.
- NURSYS verification.
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam.
- Unit-Specific Competency Exam.
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam within 1 year of start and updated annually.
- Ohio State - Variable Schedule Attestation for OR.
- Ohio State – Dress Code and Hand Hygiene Policy.
- Confidential Fraud Waste Abuse and Compliance Reporting Mechanism Form.

Unit Details
- PCU rotating day/night assignment.
- Patients include active oncology diagnosis/treatment, oncology workup, history of cancer, and other admissions such as surgical procedures, COPD, sepsis, abnormal labs, and pneumonia.
- Unit is a corrections unit of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections inmates.
- Unit is locked and requires access from Corrections Officer to enter.
