Job Description
Seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures at two locations within San Francisco. The role supports Imaging Services by assisting imaging technologists and enhancing operational efficiency. Responsibilities include patient room preparation, inventory maintenance, patient transport coordination, and occasional reception/scheduling duties.
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
- ARRT Mammography (ARRT M)
- ARRT Radiography (ARRT R)
- California State License (appropriate for Mammography Technologist)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
- Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ARRT Mammography (ARRT M) certification
- ARRT Radiography (ARRT R) certification
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, sex offender registry, education verification, and motor vehicle report if applicable
- Annual updates for EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and FACIS Level 3 screening (Fraud and Abuse Control Information System)
- Education verification of highest level achieved (not required if highest education is high school)
- Sex offender search within 90 days of start
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or facial hair)
- Immunizations and titers: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, TB screening (annual), Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination during flu season
- Respiratory safety clearance (not required for some non-clinical roles)
- References: 2 professional references within 3 years (Aya requirement)
- Full 7 years of work history documented with no gaps over 30 days

- Mileage reimbursement available for travel between sites
- Candidate must review and sign various facility-specific documents prior to start, including standards of business conduct, code of conduct, vendor training, and regulatory orientation
- Religious exemptions for facial hair and certain vaccines are considered on a case-by-case basis with required documentation
