Job Description

• Provide nursing care in a busy Pediatrics office.
• Responsibilities include daily vaccination schedules, managing referrals, covering Medical Assistant breaks, and collaborating with physicians and the care team.
• Pediatric clinic duties such as processing patients through a busy clinic.
• Occasional weekend work (one weekend day).
• No on-call required.
• Float status: No.

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in California.
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatrics (pediatric clinic/office) experience.
• Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care experience within the last year.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) issued by American Heart Association.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association.
• CHEMO certification.
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP).
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement.

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Valid photo ID (Driver’s License or Passport).
• Background checks including criminal and sanction searches within 90 days prior to start.
• Education verification confirming minimum required education.
• Health documents including:

  • Physical exam within 90 days of start.
  • Fit mask test within 90 days.
  • Immunizations and titers: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray updated annually.
  • Drug testing (oral saliva screen within 30 days of start).
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination.
• Competency exams and color blind testing as applicable.
• Employment history verification for the past 3 years.
• References as required by the agency.

Additional Information

• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required.
• Modules and competencies must be completed by the first day of the contract.
• Masking required during flu season regardless of vaccination status.
