MRI Tech Travel/Contract Position

Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: Evening (2nd shift), 4x9 schedule (13:00 - 22:30)

Job Details

• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend, 1st shift (06:30 - 15:00)
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: No
• Required Experience: Siemens, Epic, and McKesson systems experience

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Experience with McKesson systems
• Valid license appropriate for MRI Tech specialty
• Professional reference: One supervisor/manager reference required (charge nurse references acceptable if direct supervision)
• Complete application/resume with full 7 years work history, no gaps (dated MM/YYYY, "Present" acceptable)
• Certifications as applicable to unit (verify with unit description) including but not limited to:

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
  • Other certifications may be required based on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification, CPI)
• Completion of competency exams within specialty with passing score ≥80% within 1 year prior to assignment start

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test (PPD or Q Gold/Tspot) within 30 days of start; if positive, chest x-ray and TB questionnaire required
• Annual TB questionnaire update required
• Proof of immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
• Hepatitis B: titer, series, or documented declination required
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: proof of at least one prior Tdap vaccine required
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/spiritual exemption required for candidates starting after November 1; proof or exemption due by December 1
• 10-panel drug test including Marijuana/THC within 30 days of start (instant/rapid acceptable if 10-panel)
• Fit mask testing required on-site (Honeywell DC365N95HC) for applicable roles; appointment must be scheduled and documented

Background and Compliance Checks

• Criminal background check within 45 days of start, including:

  • SSN Trace
  • National Criminal Search
  • National Sex Offender Search
  • Statewide Searches
  • Education Verification
  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search for Home Health (not applicable here)
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Michigan LARA fingerprinting required within 45 days of start for certain positions; MRI Tech not specifically listed but verify if applicable
