OT Home Health (Travel/Contract) – Colorado, Aurora
Position Details
- Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Occupational Therapy)
- Setting: Home Health (possibility of working in homeless shelters)
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: ASAP
- Workload: Productivity requirement of approximately 70% (units billed correspond to hours paid; e.g., 112 units = up to 40 hours)
- EMR System: In Touch
- Territory: Scheduling aims to limit drive time between patients; local candidates are acceptable
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Colorado
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background Checks:
- Within 1 year of start; includes Social Security trace, county searches (last 7 years), nationwide, sex offender, and FACIS Level 1M
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required annually
- Certifications Verification:
- State license primary source verification
- National tech certification as applicable
- Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology and other competency exams as applicable by specialty
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (not required annually)
- Negative TB test (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot) within 1 year or chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD
- Immunizations or titers for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (with declination or boosters accepted where applicable)
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year (instant drug screen acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
- Facility-Specific: Confidentiality of Client Agreement must be reviewed and signed
Additional Notes
- Weekend scheduling varies depending on patient visits
- Productivity expectations are clearly defined to align billed units with hours worked (no overtime expected)
- Candidates will be scheduled to minimize travel time between patient visits within a territory
