Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Position Summary

• Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is not acceptable.
• No block schedule offered.
• Candidates without a Montana state license may submit but must apply immediately upon offer/acceptance.

Required Qualifications

• License: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license required.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, certificates of completion not accepted.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only, certificates of completion not accepted.
• Driver’s License/ID: Current and valid driver’s license, government photo ID, or passport.
• Background Checks:

  • 7-year background check required within 30 days of start; must be renewed annually.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start.
• Health Requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, stating good health and ability to perform job duties.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray, renewed annually.
  • Required immunizations or proof of immunity: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31) or approved exemption.
  • COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption.
  • Negative drug screen within 30 days of start, renewed annually.
  • Quantitative fit test with a 3M mask within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually (qualitative tests not accepted).

Experience

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum standard for RRT positions (typically 1+ years).
• Prior travel experience: Not required.

Additional Requirements

• Two references required, including one direct supervisor reference within the last year.
• Employment application must cover 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
