Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work area: Cath Lab (Electrophysiology)
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
• Daily caseload: 8-10 cases per tech
• Floating: Generally stays in Cath Lab; no floating to sister facilities
• Competency required in all aspects of Cath Lab Diagnostic and Intervention including Structural procedures
• Must have EP experience with pacemaker/defibrillator implants, ablations, pulmonary vein isolation (PVI), and other EP-related procedures
• First-time travelers not accepted; experience required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology Technician experience within the last year
• Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• ARRT registration required
• EP experience with pacemaker/defibrillator implants, ablations, and pulmonary vein isolation (PVI)

Additional Requirements

• Must complete annual skills checklist for specialty
• One professional reference required from a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse within the past year
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and training modules prior to start (approx. 4 hours)
• Compliance with facility dress code and policies
• Various facility-specific documents and forms must be reviewed, signed, and returned as part of credentialing and onboarding

Work Environment

• Short Term Acute Care hospital setting
• Level IV Trauma Center
• Major teaching hospital
• No call, no weekends or holidays
• Free parking for travelers
• Scrub color provided
• Electronic charting system used

Notes

• Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• No floating to sister facilities expected
• WV does not consider RCIS certification as sufficient licensure for Cath Lab work
