Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

Job Description

Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a travel contract position. The role involves working 8-hour day shifts with responsibilities in pulmonary function testing and respiratory diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pulmonary function tests including plethysmography and spirometry.
  • Assist with bronchoscopy procedures.
  • Float to other facilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Respiratory Therapist license in California
  • Minimum of 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience working with Pediatric patients
  • Pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
  • Pediatric Critical Care experience.
  • Pulmonary Rehabilitation experience.

Certifications Required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA certified.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA certified.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – AHA certified.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – AHA/AAP certified.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

  • Valid government-issued photo ID matching professional license.
  • Background checks including 7-year criminal history and various federal/state databases.
  • Education verification or copy of diploma/transcript.
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, including physician statement of fitness.
  • Fit mask test within 1 year (specific mask types required).
  • Immunizations and titers: Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap, TB tests, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
