Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Total staffed beds at facility: 5
• Charting system: Epic
• On call: Yes
• Floating: Required within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
• Block scheduling: Not accommodated
• Local radius rule: Candidate’s address must be more than 75 miles from the contracted facility
• Locals not accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• EKG/Dysrhythmia competency

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam: Must pass with 90% or higher, updated annually
• Unit-specific competency exams: Must pass with 80% or higher, updated annually
• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Must score 100%, updated annually
• Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III): Must score 80% or higher, updated annually
• Conscious Sedation Competency Exam (if applicable): Must score 80% or higher, updated annually
• Color Blind Testing: Required within 60 days prior to start; passing score 64% or higher
• Additional unit-specific certifications may be required depending on assignment

Orientation & Facility Requirements

• Patient Care Orientation Class (Skills) mandatory for all RNs
• EPIC training required if no EPIC experience within last 6 months
• N95 Mask Fit Testing completed onsite prior to or on first day
• Facility-specific policy acknowledgments and agreements must be completed prior to start
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and various federal/state sanction checks required within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and no physical limitations
• Negative 10-panel drug screen including marijuana (collected within 30 days prior to start)
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap mandatory for certain units)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframe
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (vaccination series, positive titer, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox)
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or approved exemption required annually
  • COVID vaccination strongly preferred; declinations accepted with agency form
• References: Two former direct supervisor references required (one within 1 year, one within 3 years)
• Work history verification for last 10 years including international positions and employment gaps

Additional Notes

• Candidates must provide a current and valid driver’s license and a utility bill with matching address more than 75 miles from the facility
• Candidates must be able to float within their scope of practice to meet facility needs
• No pending state licenses accepted; must have active license prior to start
• RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: maximum 5 days allowed
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position

This position offers an opportunity for experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses to work a 12-week travel contract in a small facility setting with a focus on cardiac monitoring competencies and flexibility to float as needed.
