Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care for all adult interventional radiology procedures including body, vascular, and neuro cases.
Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 4 shifts of 10 hours each (7:30 AM to 6:00 PM).
Call requirements:
- Weeknight call (Monday–Thursday, 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM) approximately 3-4 times during the contract.
- Weekend call (Friday 6:00 PM to Monday 7:30 AM) approximately 1-2 weekends during the contract.
May be required to stay past scheduled shift once a week to complete procedures ("Backup").
Expected to work every 5th or 6th Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM as needed.
Average daily census: 8 patients per nurse.
Duties include titrating drips, managing central lines, CT-guided procedures, and bone biopsies.
Use of Philips monitors.
Must be able to work independently in a procedural area where work may extend beyond scheduled hours.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience within the last year.
Critical care experience, including ICU (Intensive Care Unit) or Emergency Department (ED) background.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
